One mission specifically requires the suit to meet up with a target, but you can technically run around killing whoever in this gloriously dumb costume. One of my favorite get-ups in Hitman 2 is the ridiculous Flamingo Suit that can be found in Miami. Pretty Much Any Murder While Wearing The Flamingo Suit When it's just the two of you, you'll be able to give him some new body work that he didn't exactly ask for. This gains you access to his heavily guarded mansion, and a fun way to kill him without raising too much suspicion. But no pistol will help you complete challenges or get high scores overall. You can dress up as a famous tattoo artist to take over an appointment with your target, the head of a cartel. You can also go on rampages with the Silverballer quite effectively, and kill people rapidly with with it making it a good backup plan on no-save runs, or Elusive Targets where you are scared things could go bad and dying isn't an option. The Custom 5mm can be great for speed runs, the Krugermeir is fun to play with and good for distractions, and both of these can make some Elusive Targets slightly easier. The best strategies for top scores involve following story missions, killing your targets with accidents, or poisoning their food/ drinks and drowning them in the toilet when they go to vomit (which counts as an accident)

Overall, handguns aren't great in the game anyways. The Custom 5mm is basically an ICA 19 with slightly less accuracy, and only 5 rounds (no reloading), regular suppressor, and it can pass a frisk - meaning you can get it into places that otherwise would be difficult or time consuming to get a pistol into. It carries the benefit of being a great distraction tool as well - guards won't hear the gunshot next to their head, but will hear the impact of the bullet 20-30 meters away, allowing you more freedom in putting guards where you want them at just the right time. But it is very weak, and you have to be near point-blank to use it (in which case, the fiberwire is usually a better stealth choice unless you have to kill two people in the same room quickly). The Krugermeir 22 is the best stealth pistol in the game - subsonic rounds means you can literally shoot the weapon right next to others and no one will be alerted. Best accuracy and range, moderate mag capacity and a suppressor. While it IS nice to be able to pass frisks and all, I generally consider a silenced sidearm to be a very useful tool even on SA playthroughs. Distracting/splitting up guards by dropping the pistol and having them take it away to an evidence box. Destroying things like cameras or camera terminals from a safe distance. A simple propane flask and two shots from a concealed location is all you need to kill a target in broad daylight without invalidating SA. Shooting at chandeliers or similar accident-causing objects. Even if the bullet impact is noticed it won't invalidate SA unless you're identified as the culprit, and if the bullet impact isn't it acts like any normal distraction. Originally posted by Explorer:I usually just take the one that passes frisk tests, since I'm forced to bring a pistol at all.Īs others have pointed out, you CAN unequip pistols and even if you couldn't, there's nothing stopping you from dropping your pistol at the start of the mission or in a garbage can somewhere.Īlso, while it's easy to dismiss silenced pistols for traditional Silent Assassin runs, and generally speaking the coin + lockpick ARE far more useful tools for that playstyle, there's still numerous Silent Assassin-compatible reasons to bring a pistol with you:
BEST HITMAN 2 PLUS
I don't think there's a difference between the ICA19 and the Silverballer's recoil, is there?Īnyway, the reason why the Silverballer is so well-loved (aside from it being the signature weapon of the series) is because the Steady Aim ability allows it to have crazy accurate individual shots, that plus the larger magazine size compared to the ICA19 means you get a reliable silenced pistol that not only works well when you want to shoot stuff up, but also when you're trying to do things like shoot cameras or the like, and you need to be precise.īear in mind that there ARE other picks that can potentially be better depending on what it is you need, like the Krugermeier for being extremely quiet or the Concealable 5mm for being, well, concealable, but the Silverballer is extremely well-rounded and has great accuracy which is generally the most important thing you want out of an already-suppressed pistol on SA runs, seeing as things like mag size, rate of fire, or damage will only matter if you miss.
